Pile pier

The pile jetty is a classic design that has been effective for centuries on various beaches. It is ideal for locations where the water depth is under 6 feet. For deeper waters, Northwood piers with pontoons are recommended. The pile jetty is suitable for areas where ice does not accumulate heavily on the shore during spring. If ice buildup is minimal, any slight tilts in the poles can be easily corrected in the spring by using a sledgehammer to realign them upright.
